Review – Forsaking Others by Elsabé Welman

I’m always hesitant to read a translated book, especially if it was translated from Afrikaans to English.

Many self-published authors handle the translation of their work themselves, and you can see it in the end results … not in a positive way. However, Elsabé Welman doesn’t take shortcuts with her work.

All marketing of FORSAKING OTHERS has the tag “no one will know, until everybody knows,” and it truly had me curious.

FORSAKING OTHERS is a well-written book. Although it started off slow, it has a storyline that will keep you hooked. The suspense is well-written and really makes you think and want to help unravel the truth. Trust is also a big thing in the storyline.

Luna and Evan’s friendship started out innocently while supporting each other through a difficult time, which led to more intense feelings developing between the two of them.

When Luna was suspected of a crime, it really took both of them through a test no one could easily pass.
The million dollar question: will they pass the test?
